Fishing on Lake Michigan out of the Milwaukee harbor has been awesome, we have been catching some very very large Chinook salmon. The salmon are just starting to stage just outside the gaps the water temp this evening were 71 just outside the main gap. There are some very large salmon around this year due to the decrease in salmon stockings and the reason for that is to get the Baitfish population back where it needs to be to support more stockings. We have followed local trout and salmon Derbys this year and its nice to see the huge salmon showing up for these tournaments. FISHING ON LAKE MICHIGAN OUT OF THE MILWAUKEE HARBOR FOR SALMON HAS BEEN GOOD TO VERY GOOD WITH MOSY OF THE SALMON WERE CATCHING ARE BEING CAUGHT TROLLING. THE JIGGING BITE FOR SALMON SHOULD TURN ON LATER THIS WEEK. Inland fishing has been very good for us lately walleyes on Lake Winnebago, walleyes, Bass, Pike and Crappie on Fox lake. Fishing on Lake Michigan has been up and down this year for Salmon so far July and August are two of the best months to jig for Chinook Salmon. Later this week I will have a update on the Lk Michigan Salmon fishing.
